Kurt DelBene served in multiple engineering executive roles in his career at Microsoft and the federal government.  He was president of the Microsoft office product division, leading their transition from on-premises software to a cloud subscription business.  When the Obamacare site, healthcare.gov, failed during its launch in 2014, he was asked by former President Obama to help in the recovery and further development of the healthcare insurance site, ultimately enrolling over 14 million individuals in health insurance.  He returned to Microsoft to lead corporate strategy and internal operations, including as CIO for Microsoft.  Most recently he served in the Biden Administration as CIO of the Department of Veterans Affairs, the nation’s largest integrated health care and benefits provider.
