Ground Transportation in Tucson, AZ

To get from the airport to the University of Arizona area, there are several options.

  1. Public bus - public buses are currently free in Tucson. You can take Route 25 Northbound on Park Ave to downtown, followed by the Sun Link Street Car to the campus area. More information on public transportation in Tucson can be found here.
  2. Uber/Lyft - estimated at $20-50 depending on size and time of day
  3. Taxi - estimated at $34
  4. Shuttles - there are shuttles provided by a range of businesses, including hotels. A full list can be found here

Please keep in mind that June is one of the hottest months in Tucson. If you are going to take public transportation, be sure you have a water bottle and preferably sun protection.

Most hotels selected are within walking distance to campus, or along the Sun Link Street Car route. The Sun Link is completely free and will drop you off just south of the conference venue (the Health Sciences Innovation Building).
