Meet the Research Team

Lauren Coronado, M.Ed

Program Coordinator, Research Engagement
Lauren Coronado is a Program Coordinator for Research Engagement in the Office of Research & Partnerships. In her role, she leads high-visibility research events and strategic visits that advance the university’s research mission and foster collaboration among faculty, industry partners, and government leaders. Her portfolio includes the Distinguished Research Lecture Series, Excellence Awards for Research & Creative Activity, and executive-level partnership engagements.
 
Lauren specializes in creating purposeful experiences that strengthen connections across the research enterprise and highlight the university’s global impact. She also manages reservations and programming for the first-floor meeting spaces within the Grand Challenges Research Building, a central hub for interdisciplinary collaboration.
 
With a background in education, communications, and stakeholder engagement, Lauren brings a people-centered approach to strategic event design and partnership development. She holds a B.A. in Elementary Education and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from the University of Arizona and serves as an ambassador for the Southern Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Marisol Corrado

Program Coordinator
Marisol Corrado is a Program Coordinator within Research Development Services in the Office of Research and Partnerships at the University of Arizona. In her role, she is part of a team that leads high-impact research events and strategic visits that support the university’s research mission.
 
Marisol brings a people-centered approach to event design and partnership development, informed by her background in admissions and student engagement, where she led group visits, coordinated large-scale programming, and helped develop programs such as Arizona Road Trips that enhanced engagement with prospective students. Originally from San Diego, she earned her B.S. in Child Development from San Diego State University and is passionate about creating meaningful, engaging experiences that connect people and ideas.

Kris Daigle

Program Coordinator

Kris Daigle is a Program Coordinator for Research Engagement within Research Development Services. A proud University of Arizona alumna, she brings extensive experience in higher education, program and event coordination, and teaching. Prior to joining the department, she led signature campus events at the university and supported admissions initiatives designed to engage prospective students and families. Her experience includes nearly a decade as an elementary educator, where she cultivated strengths in communication, organization, and community engagement. Drawing on this experience, she now supports programs and events that advance research engagement, strengthen strategic partnerships, and foster collaboration across the university community. She is committed to building strong relationships and creating meaningful experiences that connect people, ideas, and opportunity. Outside of work, she enjoys long walks with her rescue dog, practicing Pilates, and spending time with friends and family.

Luz Delgado

Assistant Director, Research Development Operations

Luz Delgado is the assistant director for Research Development Operations. Bringing a wealth of expertise and institutional history to the unit, she provides executive support for the AVP for Research Development and manages the events coordination team that is responsible for supporting federal sponsor visits, VIP Visits, and research related conferences and events. She enjoys traveling, watching documentaries and reading.
