UArizona is institutionally coordinating the response to this call for proposals.

The Mercury Project is a $10M+ global research consortium dedicated to combating the impacts of mis- and disinformation on public health and to finding interventions that support the spread and uptake of accurate health information. The consortium is coordinated by the Social Science Research Council, in partnership with the National Science Foundation’s SBE Directorate and multiple philanthropic foundations. The project will support interdisciplinary, diverse teams of social and behavioral scientists and public health experts, in partnership with local public, nonprofit, or private organizations, to work together to advance the science of infodemic response.
