The IUSE program supports innovative strategies that enhance student engagement, learning, persistence and workforce readiness in STEM disciplines.
In this session you will:
- Explore the two program tracks Engaged Student Learning (ESL) and Institutional and Community Transformation (ICT) as well as the funding levels within each.
- Learn key proposal elements, including partnership expectations and takeaways from recently funded IUSE projects at the University of Arizona.
Designed for both newcomers and seasoned applicants, this session will help you align your project concept with IUSE priorities and maximize your proposal's success.

Publishing a book involves much more than preparing a manuscript. Understanding the resources, funding opportunities and publishing process available to you can help you plan for each stage and position your work for success.
In this session you will:
- Explore the book publishing lifecycle, from developing an initial concept and conducting research to preparing a manuscript, publication and beyond.
- Learn about grants, funding opportunities and research development resources that can support book research and publication.
- Hear from experts from University Libraries and University of Arizona Press about resources, considerations and best practices for navigating the publishing process.
- Gain practical guidance to help you identify next steps for your own book project, whether you are beginning to develop an idea or are already working toward publication.
Designed for faculty and postdoctoral scholars across disciplines, with an emphasis on early-career researchers in the social sciences, humanities, arts, education and other being and knowing disciplines.
Coffee, tea and light refreshments will be provided for in-person attendees.
