The purpose of this funding opportunity is to invite new Institutional Network Awards (U2C/TL1) to cultivate a highly integrated cohort of trainees and early career investigators and to develop career development resources to accelerate kidney, urologic, and hematologic research. To maximize integration and promote a true trainee community, Institutions are invited to submit a single, unified U2C/TL1 application to engage, recruit, prepare, and sustain the next generation of kidney, urology, and hematology researchers. Applications covering a single metropolitan area are strongly encouraged (see Section III.3).

2021 The Pac-12 Student-Athlete Health and Well-Being Grant Program

As a key pillar of the Pac-12 SAHWBI, the Pac-12 Grant Program offers research funding to support the advancement of Pac-12 student-athlete health and well-being and has made it a priority to research and develop best practices for general improvements in these areas.

The Pac-12 Conference has committed approximately $3,500,000 per year in research grants for projects at Pac-12 institutions designed to improve the health, general well-being, and safety of student-athletes at all Conference member universities.

All submissions must come through UA SPCS and be endorsed by the institution’s Pac-12 Student-Athlete Health and Well-Being Board representative.

2021 Women in STEM2D Scholars Program (Johnson & Johnson)

UArizona may submit proposals, one per award category (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Manufacturing & Design). The anticipated sponsor's deadline is October 15, 2021, based on previous award cycles.

The Johnson & Johnson Scholars Award Program aims to fuel development of female STEM2D leaders and feed the STEM2D talent pipeline by awarding and sponsoring women at critical points in their careers, in each of the STEM2D disciplines: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Manufacturing and Design. The awards will fund one woman per STEM2D discipline who has completed her advanced degree, who is working as an assistant professor (or global equivalent faculty position) and who is not yet tenured at an accredited university, institution or design school. The goal is to fuel the research passion of the awarded women and inspire career paths in their respective STEM2D fields. Johnson & Johnson is looking to identify global women leading in both their research fields and leading as mentors, to be a vision for girls and other women in STEM2D.
