Join us for a casual, fully accessible bird sit on Saturday, Oct. 24th, from 8 - 9 a.m. This year’s Birdability Week theme is “Bird where you are,” and we are inviting birders of all distinct abilities, health conditions, and experience levels to slow down and enjoy nature together.
We will gather on Biosphere 2's flat, stable visitor center patios, where we’ve set up feeders to bring the wildlife to us. There’s no need to hike long distances to be a part of this community! Benches and bistro tables are available on the patio, so you can sit back and bird comfortably. We will keep a casual lookout for some of our frequent desert residents, including Northern Cardinals, Vermilion Flycatchers, finches, and passing raptors. A limited number of loaner binoculars are available—you are welcome to bring your own.
Cost: The event is completely free (general admission applies only if you choose to take the Biosphere 2 tour afterward).
Registration: Not required.
