Cristina Guzmán

Cristina Guzman is Assistant Director of Program Innovation & Advancement at the University of Arizona. She works with internal and external partners and manages the formation, launch and sustainability of strategic programs and projects. She has extensive experience elevating research initiatives and has secured over $160 million in research funding since 2021. Cristina is passionate about fostering multidisciplinary partnerships and developing innovative programs to expand and elevate the university's research capabilities and impact. Her ability to motivate teams, find creative solutions to complex problems and turn resources into organizational growth makes her a valuable asset in advancing the university's research initiatives. Outside of work, she can be found relaxing on her patio with a good book or hiking the beautiful mountain trails around Tucson with her son and dog.
