Shane Connelly is a George Lynn Cross professor of psychology and director of the Institute for Community and Society Transformation at the University of Oklahoma. She earned her doctorate in I/O psychology from George Mason University, and she is a fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology.

Her research interests include leadership, emotions in the workplace, ethics and extremism in online settings. She has recently been involved in advancing research translation at the University of Oklahoma and collaborations with Native Nations on energy research and development. Connelly has received more than $15 million in research grants as principal investigator or co-principal investigator from the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense and other federal agencies. Connelly currently serves on the editorial boards of The Leadership Quarterly, The Journal of Business and Psychology, Human Performance, and the Psychology of Leaders and Leadership. She has established a strong record of scholarly achievements, publishing over 140 articles in top peer-reviewed outlets.
