Nikieia Johnson
Director, African American Museum of Southern
Nikieia Johnson is a nonprofit executive and community advocate with over a decade of experience leading mission-driven organizations through strategic partnerships and inclusive community engagement. She serves as Director of the African American Museum of Southern Arizona, where she guides the preservation and celebration of Black history and culture through exhibitions, education, and collaborative community initiatives.
A Purdue University graduate with a B.A. in Human Development and Family Studies, Nikieia brings a strong background in community relations, fundraising, employee development, and DEIA-informed programming. Her leadership centers equity, access, and community voice, resulting in meaningful, sustainable impact for youth, families, and underserved populations. She also volunteers with I Am You 360, and Ubuntu Academies supporting organizational strategy and equity-focused outreach.
