Notice of Information: Contributing to the Global COVID-19 Crisis Response by Allowing Some NCI-supported Projects to be Redirected to COVID-19-related Research During the Crisis

The COVID-19 pandemic is a global health crisis that has engaged the attention of researchers who want to be able to contribute their expertise and resources toward a better understanding of the impacts of SARS-CoV-2 infection and COVID-19 disease on cancer patients’ disease progression, response to therapy, care delivery, or survivorship.

Notice of Special Interest (NOSI): Availability of Urgent Competitive Revisions and Administrative Supplements for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Research within the Mission of NIDCR

National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) is issuing this Notice of Special Interest (NOSI) to highlight the urgent need for research on Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). NIDCR will place a high priority on topics that would be of immediate and high impact to protect and ensure the safety of personnel and patients in dental practices.

Notice of Special Interest (NOSI): Infrastructure Access for Research on Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Conducted in the National Dental Practice-Based Research Network

National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) is issuing this Notice of Special Interest (NOSI) to highlight the urgent need for research on Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) conducted in the National Dental Practice-Based Research Network (PBRN). NIDCR will place a high priority on topics that would be of immediate and high impact to protect and ensure the safety of personnel and patients in dental practices, prevent SARS-CoV-2 transmission, and improve detection and diagnosis of COVID-19.

Notice of Special Interest (NOSI): Administrative Supplements to Existing NIH ECHO Cooperative Agreements (Admin Supp - Clinical Trial Not Allowed) for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) – related Research

The purpose of this NOSI is to encourage eligible ECHO cohort grantees to apply for this administrative supplement aimed at fostering time-sensitive ECHO-wide Cohort science related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The ECHO Program’s mission is to enhance the health of children for generations to come. Understanding the effects of a broad array of early environmental exposures on child health and development, including issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic, is a priority for the NIH.

Notice of Special Interest (NOSI): NIDCD is Interested in Supporting Research on the Impact of COVID-19 on Mission Specific Sensory and Communication Disorders

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a recently emerged human disease caused by the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). There is a paucity of data on the impact of SARS-CoV-2 on the sensory and communicative functions within the scientific mission areas of NIDCD. NIDCD invites applications for research on COVID-19 in relation to NIDCD’s scientific programs of hearing, balance, taste, smell, voice, speech and language (HBTSVSL).

Notice of Special Interest (NOSI) regarding the Availability of Urgent Competitive Revisions and Administrative Supplements for Research on Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Individuals with Down Syndrome for the INCLUDE Project

NIH is issuing this Notice of Special Interest (NOSI) to highlight the urgent need for research on Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in individuals with Down syndrome in conjunction with the INCLUDE (INvestigation of Co-occurring conditions across the Lifespan to Understand Down syndromE) Project.

Serological Sciences Network Capacity Building Centers

In light of the emergence of the novel coronavirus, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), and the urgent need to mitigate the pathogen’s spread, the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) are establishing a Serological Sciences Network of Excellence to mobilize collaborative efforts to develop serological assays of high specificity and high sensitivity for deployment to test for SARS-CoV-2 induced immune responses and to rapidly expand national serological testing capacity.

Community Interventions to Address the Consequences of the COVID-19 Pandemic among Health Disparity and Vulnerable Populations (R01- Clinical Trial Optional)

This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) encourages applications to implement and evaluate community interventions testing 1) the impacts of mitigation strategies to prevent COVID-19 transmission in NIH-designated health disparity populations and other vulnerable groups; and 2) already implemented, new, or adapted interventions to address the adverse psychosocial, behavioral, and socioeconomic consequences of the pandemic on the health of these groups.
