Established in 1950 the Foundation aims to "improve the quality of life" by contributing to the generation of new knowledge through its support of research and scholarship. Currently funding is available in three program areas: Studying Complex Systems, Understanding Human Cognition, Mathematical & Complex Systems Approaches for Brain Cancer.
