Under the Space Exploration & Optical Sciences initiative, researchers at U of A conduct groundbreaking work on optical technologies thereby enhancing telescopes and observatories around the world. Particular work done on observing campaigns of the Event Horizon Telescope and QISE systems engineering mark the University as a world leader in helping to answer humanity’s deepest questions about our place in the universe.
