The current IRB Roster is effective 7/18/2024. Past IRB rosters are available for review listed by their approval date.
The HSPP charges fees for the review of human subject research that is industry-sponsored or federally-funded projects with a single IRB requirement for multi-site research where the University of Arizona is the IRB of record. Fees are NOT charged for projects with no funding, that are not industry-sponsored, or are not federally-funded multi-site studies. All IRB fees are due upon submission to the IRB. See the IRB Fee Schedule for more information. Note that the new IRB Fee Schedule is effective 7/01/24 for projects approved after 6/30/24.
In rare cases, the IRB fee may be waived. Please contact Mariette Marsh (marshM@arizona.edu) to request a fee waiver.
- Fees are based on full IRB or expedited review, regardless of whether or not the project is initiated.
- Investigators and/or departments are responsible for fee payment, regardless of whether or not the sponsor reimburses them.
IRB Full Committee Meetings are scheduled for the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month, except December, which may have meetings on the 2nd and 3rd Tuesday.
Items for review must be submitted at least two (2) weeks before the meeting, and the submission must be complete, with all revisions finalized, one (1) week before the meeting. If you have any questions, contact the HSPP.
Items that do not require Full Committee review are reviewed by IRB staff in the order received. If you have any questions, contact the HSPP.
