Vocal changes in birds may predict age-related disorders in people, study finds

U of A neuroscientists studying the brains of songbirds have found that aging alters the gene expressions that control the birds' song. The finding could lead to earlier diagnoses and better treatments for human disorders such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.
