FFB Career Development Award

The award is for junior investigators to pursue vigorous research programs to drive the research to find the therapies and cures for retinal degenerative diseases (RDDs). The goal is to facilitate advances in lab and clinical research, to elucidate the mechanisms for the etiology and pathogenesis of RDDs and to develop innovative strategies to prevent, treat and cure these diseases. Each award is worth $375,000.

Sontag Distinguished Scientist Award

The Distinguished Scientist Award (DSA) seeks to provide career and research support to early career scientists who demonstrate outstanding promise for making scientific and medical breakthroughs in the field of brain cancer research. The award provides up to $600,000 in funding over a four-year period. Over that time, recipients also receive additional support from the Foundation through its vast network of scientists in the field and annual alumni conference.

National Kidney Foundation, Young Investigator Program

The National Kidney Foundation will award three, one-year, $35,000 awards in support of junior faculty. Promising young scientists are encouraged to submit proposals for investigating clinical research questions in nephrology, or closely related fields. Projects must be patient-oriented. The responsiveness of each application to the research agenda of the NKF will be one of the elements used in the assessment of proposals.

Whitehall Foundation Grants-in-Aid

The Grants-in-Aid program is designed for researchers at the assistant professor level who experience difficulty in competing for research funds because they have not yet become firmly established. Grants-in-Aid are awarded for a one-year period and do not exceed $30,000. Multiple LOI deadlines per year.

Kauffman Junior Faculty Fellowship

Recognizes tenured or tenure-track junior faculty members at accredited U.S. universities who are beginning to establish a record of scholarship and exhibit the potential to make significant contributions to the body of research in the field of entrepreneurship. Each Fellow’s university will receive a grant of $35,000 over two to three years to support the research activities of the Fellow.

Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Awards Program

The Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Awards Program supports the research and teaching careers of talented young faculty in the chemical sciences.
