The University of Arizona Foundation Relation's Team works to increase private support and charitable grant funding for the University of Arizona.

- Aetna Foundation - Established in 1972, the Aetna Foundation works to improve the health status and quality of care of the individual and community, focusing efforts on opportunities that lead to meaningful improvements in health and the health care system.
- Alfred P. Sloan Foundation - Established in 1934 the Foundation focuses on science, technology, and economic institutions, believing that the scholars and practitioners working in these fields are the chief drivers of the nation's health and properity. Funding is available for projects that will result in a strong benefit to society, and for which funding from the private sector, the government, or other foundations is not widely available.
- Alpha Foundation for Improvement of Mine Safety and Health - Established in 2011, the Foundation seeks to improve mine health and safety through funding research and development projects by qualified academic institutions and other not-for-profit organizations.
- American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) - Established in 1907, AACR accelerates progress toward the prevention and cure of cancer by promoting research, education, communication, and collaboration.
- American Cancer Society - The American Cancer Society (ACS) is the largest nongovernmental funder of cancer research in the U.S. ACS funds groundbreaking research that helps understand cancer's causes, determine how best to prevent it, and discover new ways to cure it.
- Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation - Works with partner organizations worldwide to tackle critical problems in four program areas: Global Development, Global Health, Global Policy & Advocacy, and U.S. Division (works to improve U.S. high school and postsecondary education).
- Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) - CPB promotes the growth and development of public media in communities throughout America.
- David & Lucille Packard Foundation - Established in 1964, the Foundation promotes positive, lasting change in the environment, science, children, reproductive health, and local communities.
- Flinn Foundation - The Flinn Foundation is a privately endowed, philanthropic grantmaking organization established in 1965 to improve the quality of life in Arizona to benefit future generations. The Foundation supports the advancement of the biosciences in Arizona as well as arts and culture in Arizona.
- Ford Foundation - The goals of the Ford Foundation are to strengthen democratic values, reduce poverty and injustice, promote international cooperation, advance human achievement.
- Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation - The Foundation focuses on bold ideas that create enduring impact in the areas of environmental conservation, patient care, and science.
- James S. McDonnell Foundation - Established in 1950 the Foundation aims to "improve the quality of life" by contributing to the generation of new knowledge through its support of research and scholarship. Currently funding is available in three program areas: Studying Complex Systems, Understanding Human Cognition, Mathematical & Complex Systems Approaches for Brain Cancer.
- Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) - The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary (nonprofit) health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services.
- March of Dimes - The March of Dimes helps mothers have full-term pregnancies and research the problems that threaten the health of babies.
- McKnight Brain Research Foundation - The Foundation works to promote research and investigation of the brain in the fundamental mechanisms that underlie the neurobiology of memory with clinical relevance to the problems of age related memory loss.
- Medtronic Foundation - Established in 1978, the Foundation works to improve access to quality healthcare.
- Robert Wood Johnson Foundation - The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation provides grants for projects in the United States and U.S. territories that advance our mission to improve the health and health care of all Americans.
- Science Foundation Arizona - Established in 2006, SFAz is a public/private non-profit organization to diversify and strengthen Arizona's economy by: investing in scientific and engineering areas of greatest economic importance to Arizona, facilitate strategic collaborations between Arizona research institutions and industry, support effective education in STEM, and attract and retain world-class jobs and talent.
- Susan G. Komen - The Foundation funds breast cancer research through competitive, peer reviewed, proposals.
- Water Research Foundation - The Water Research Foundation is an internationally recognized leader in water research that is dedicated to advancing the science of water by sponsoring cutting-edge research and promoting collaboration.
- Western States Art Federation (Westaf) - The Western States Arts Federation (WESTAF) is a regional nonprofit arts service organization whose mission is to strengthen the financial, organizational, and policy infrastructure of the arts in the West.
- William and Flora Hewlett Foundation - The Foundation's funding program goals include: helping to reduce global poverty, limiting the risk of climate change, improving education for students in California and elsewhere, improving reproductive health and rights worldwide, supporting vibrant performing arts in our community, and advancing the field of philanthropy.
- W.M. Keck Foundation - The Foundation supports pioneering discoveries in science, engineering, and medical research.
