Women’s Equity in Sports: The Fight, the Scars, and the Thrill of Victory

University of Arizona Women’s Basketball Coach Adia Barnes and fellow UA Alumna and catalyst for a women’s race at the Tour de France Kathryn Bertine headline an All-Star panel of trailblazing women who pioneered

the fight for women’s equity in sports. Joining them are two-time Olympic hockey medalist and National Hockey League analyst for ESPN A.J. Mleczko, Emmy and Peabody Award-winning sports journalist at ESPN and co-owner of the Chicago Red Stars of the National

Women’s Soccer League Sarah Spain, and the first woman to run the Boston Marathon and winner of the New York City Marathon Kathrine Switzer. Emmy and Associated Press award-winning sports journalist Damien Alameda from KOLD News 13 will moderate.
