Emily Meyer is a Research Development Associate specializing in biomedical, clinical, health and life sciences. Emily brings experience as a writing and editorial consultant on projects spanning a broad range of developmental stages and a wide variety of discipline, scope, and editorial concern, as well as interest in improving diversity and equity within and outside of academia. Emily received a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of California, Davis, where her doctorate research focused on mathematical modeling of processes involved in cardiac pacemaking at multiple scales from subcellular signaling to tissue geometry, including the role of the peripheral nervous system in regulating rhythmicity. Emily’s academic interests span a wide range of disciplines, and she has also been involved in research in pure mathematics as well as experimental neuroscience.
