Event Coordinator

Elena Rodriguez is Research Development Services Event Coordinator responsible for event support for both in-person and online events. Elena started her University of Arizona career at BIO5 Institute where she was responsible for the logistics and execution of events such as The Precision Wellness Seminar Symposia (in-person), The Precision Wellness in the Time of COVID-19 (Virtually), BIO5 Open house and Reception, BIO5 Women of STEM, Student Industry Networking Event, and many others alongside colleagues at BIO5 Institute. Connected to her role with RDS, Elena will have the opportunity to work on events for RII including Convo with Cantwell, RII All Hands, as well as partnering on events at the University of Arizona Washington, D.C, Center for Outreach and Collaboration. Elena looks forward to focusing on events that connect UA faculty with external funding opportunities. Elena loves working for the University of Arizona, and her family has always been full of UA fans cheering for softball, baseball, basketball, and football. She is proud of her oldest daughter, a University of Arizona student who will be applying for the nursing program. The University of Arizona and the RDS team is exactly where Elena wants to be. Go Cats!
